Me on This Week's Book Week (163)

This Week's Book Week is rather similar to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews only with far more rambling and a less witty title. ;)

Hi there! Thanks for not revolting when I took this last week off to catch up on reading. :) And continuing with the summer theme, I mowed the lawn. ;) Just the back, though. It's still hot and most lawns are brown and dry from a lack of rain.

I really look forward to the weekends now. They mean I'm not on constant puppy duty. It's not that she's terrible, but sometimes I do get tired of spending most of my day with a dog that's not mine. Some days, when she doesn't listen, it's a struggle. Kind of like kids and the ways they don't listen to you when you've been yelling at them for hours. If we can make it out the rambunctious puppy stage with little blood shed, we'll be good.

Reviews going up this coming week will feature Focus on Me by Megan Erickson (Tuesday) and Rebel Mechanics by Shanna Swendson (Friday). :)
This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp (e-galley from Sourcebooks through NetGalley)

  1. You have the opposite problem as I do. It's done nothing but rain, rain, rain here in PA. Everyone's lawn is pretty much a swamp at this point. I'm glad you got some reading done while you took a break. This is Where it Ends sounds really intense. Have a great weekend, happy reading!

  2. This is Where It Ends sounds like it's going to be an awesome read. I hope you love all your new books.

  3. Ahhh, puppies. They're so fun, aren't they? Ha ha -- mine's 7 months old and he's still rambunctious and destructive. At least he's cute :)

Both THIS IS WHERE IT ENDS and REBEL MECHANICS sound really good!

  4. I'm really looking forward to reading This is Where it Ends. It looks so good and super intense too!!! Puppies can be a bit of a handful. Probably why I ended up going with cats. They're much easier, even during the playful kitten stage.

  6. I look forward to your review of Rebel Mechanics! I have been hearing so much about that one, I haven't had the chance to pick up a copy of it yet though. Also, I hope you enjoy This Is Where It Ends. I didn't request that one, as I am unsure if it is one I would enjoy.
